THE SWEDE

JW Industries Group was formed by the great granddaughter of Swedish immigrant Charles "The Swede" Jacobsson, who in the early 20th century moved to Alaska with a purpose: to find opportunity and his own sense of success.

In 1910, he began delivering mail for the United States Postal Service by dog sled in rural Alaska. He did this to serve the small Yupik Eskimo communities in Alaska he respected and held dear. It was his fearless determination, ingenuity, and commitment to community that inspires JW Industries Group to serve our clients. We strive to emulate the ingenuity and determination to serve that Charles Jacobsson embodied. Our intention is to follow in footsteps set down long-ago and to serve through established best-practices and creative innovation.
